The total number of accounts created on the TRON blockchain has recently surpassed four million, after both South Korean tech giant Samsung and browser operator Opera added support for TRX to their wallets.
As referenced in a tweet published by TRONSCAN, a platform dedicated to tracking data on the TRON blockchain, the number of accounts surpassed four million earlier today, November 4, 2019.

The data doesn’t clarify what percentage of accounts is dormant on the network, nor does it go into detail as to how many users have multiple accounts, for example. On the Bitcoin network, the number of active daily unique addresses – accounts – has been ranging between 400,000 and 500,000 in the last few weeks.
The number of unique addresses on the TRX network TRONSCAN refers to appear to include dormant addresses, among others. The specific number of unique users TRON or any other cryptocurrency has is extremely hard to determine, as one user can manage multiple unique addresses.
TRON’s unique address number, however, surpassed the four million mark this year after Samsung added TRX support to its keystore blockchain wallet, which also supports Ethereum. Bitcoin, and Klaytn.
The popular Opera browser has late last month also added support for the TRON blockchain and TRX, allowing users to interact with decentralized applications on TRON using its Android browser. The unique address growth doesn’t seem to have affected TRX’s price, which is down 1.7% in the last 24-hour period.
CryptoCompare data shows that TRX is up by roughly 24.5% in the last two weeks, and up by 33.45% in the last 30 days thanks to the added support.
